There are not many. However, The enslavery of the warring tribes of Germany by the Romans kept the populace of an arch enemy of the Roman Republic and Empire. The subjugation of the Chinese by the Mongols was instrumental in forming exterior trade practices with the rest of the world. As for America, it let the black ppl in the U.S. leave ancesteral home of Africa, where 1 in 4 have AIDS and 2 in 5 die in inter tribal warfare.

I don't believe there was anything good about slavery!! The only plus that i can think of at all is that some slaves where given a chance at an education, but not many.

Well, to the people who "owend" the slaves, they didnt have to lift a finger and didnt have to do any work. But thats a good point in THEIR EYES not mine. In all reality, it really didnt bennifit us for today. It broke us apart as different races and its a struggle just to unite now. Think of how the world would be if slavery never happend? Hopfully someday, one bennifit will come along, and that is that everone will realize this happend hundreds of years ago, and that its not happening now, therefor we should put the past aside and ment what was broken, and was never given a chance.

Plus Points(for the modern and crazy life of today!): through slavery you learn how to listen to somebody; to get your job completely done; to respect any job knowing how difficult is to work really hard; to understand that if you let for tomorrow what you must do today can have bad/extreme consequences ....so lets learn from all this!!
Hope my answer will help!

The only good point - you gain from slavery is that you recognize that it is wrong, evil and demeaning to man/woman and all of humanity and every civilization on earth today and yesterday and tomorrows.

The GOOD THING you gain is everyone has the right to determine their own destiny, through their choices and that is available only through FREEDOM.

Slavery was a way to subjugate your rivals and opposing armies, and send a message out to other nations that this fate could befall you, so it works as a kind of deterrent, but that's the only one I can see as a "good point".

you save from labor costs, thats for sure. that is, as long as you aren't paying to feed and shelter your slaves.

if slavery exists in a society, slave owning would certainly be a sign of social status for the aristocrats.

you need not worry about the day to day chores that your slave would be taken care of.

- Cheap or Free Labour
- Good Income with little work on your part (as long as you are rich enough to own slaves - otherwise you may not be able to find work)
- A sense of power over someone else, which can be a real buzz

That eventually the slaves would uprise and skin YOU alive for being so narrow minded. What, did your mother keep you in a cage growing up or something?
