To that first answer you received.....grammatically or gramatically?? "Can hardly wait" is the GRAMMATICALLY correct way.

"Can hardly wait..." is gramatically correct. It means you can not wait patiently.

To use the venacular "can't hardly wait", the word "hardly" already implies the verb is negative. For example, "the music was so soft, that I could hardly hear it"

For this reason, "can't hardly.." is really a double-negative. (even though it sounds beter that way)

Hope this helps you.

The correct answer is "Can hardly wait." Can't hardly wait is wrong because it would be a double negative.

I don't know if it's grammatically correct, but I would go with can hardly wait, because saying can't hardly wait sounds redundant.

Can hardly wait.

"Hardly" is a form of a negative, therefore you can't add another negative (can't) to the sentence and be grammatically correct.

Can hardly wait is correct. " Can't hardly wait "sounds bad.
I can't wait would also be correct.

I can't hardly wait reminds me of something you might hear at the county fair, as in, " I can't hardly wait fer them juicy steaks
to come off that there griddle. I ain't got one yet."
