I love to thrash on my wife in jeopardy. IF you aren't into trivia there is this game called I love Katamari. Very fun, loses some of the story in translation though.

A great game that me and my boyfriend play together is Dynasty Warriors 4. (Though any DW game is good.) There are modes where you can work cooperatively to clear the board as well as a competitive mode with various different vs. games. Also, there are tons of warriors and a handful of female warriors.
Also, if you are looking for a less violent game to play together...Sims: Bustin' Out has a two player mode that is quite fun.

Try Frequency , Amplitude, or Guitar Hero. We love trying to beat each other with the better score. Also, I think we played Baldur's Gate together.
