There are many different things that can cause black outs from binge drinking to not eating properly to being over exhausted. But one of the reasons people have black outs and don't even know it can be trauma in the brain caused by malformations and tumors. There is a malformation of the cerebellum called Arnold's-Chiari malformation. I suffered with it for years and it caused my black outs until I had surgery.

Ignore the cretins(if you can)..blackouts could be caused by any number of things from seizures to low blood sugar or high blood sugar to blood pressure issues to ear issues or TIAs .

In other words :GO TO THE DOCTOR! This is not something that will miraculously heal itself. Think about it: if you black out while driving you could kill yourself and/or others(AND lose your driving privileges for at least one blackout free YEAR!) not to mention cooking or walking on stairs or crossing in traffic or(you fill it in) GO girl go...
