My ex husband refuses to pay. He was court ordered to pay as of Sept 1. He motioned against it and lost. Now it is over a month and a half and still nothing. My attorney is going to Show Cause him to pay. From my understanding he can motion that too.

I am upset because I can not get a job until I have money to put my little guy in daycare. It would benefit him in the long run to just pay up.

He is taking trips and talking about buying a hot rod. He buys our son new toys for his house and then brings them to the police station where we have to meet for visitation, because of a domestic violence ppo against him. He makes our 3 yr old scream to take the toys. He does allow the toys to come to my house, but it is sick to show me the toys and make our son cry to get them.. Great he buys expensive gifts, what about food and clothing? He is a dead beat! I think my ex is in need of mental help. (No Laugh) He is sickly controlling. I am waiting for the FOC to evaluate his head!

I was in almost the same position when my kids were little. Put the screws to him. MAKE HIM PAY even if he has to go to jail. He's a cruel person it sounds like, teasing the child with the toys to get to you. Nasty. I stayed after my ex until he was put in jail and then he paid up. Guys like him and your ex think the rules are for everyone else but them. Stand your ground and do what is best for your child. Good luck.

if he is this bad, I wonder whats wrong with you also? You not only married a nut, but you had a child with him, so you have problems too. As far as show cause, he will have to show good cause as to why he has not made a payment, and the judge will normally warn him pay or else. But if it was just ordered in Sept. it takes the state child support office about two months to start getting a check. If you file for show cause to early the next time you want to file it will not work as well for you. Him being only2 months behind nothing will happen,

You already have an order in place. A show cause hearing is usually a petition to the court to increase/decrease the amount of payment due to a change in his income. Take the paperwork to his place of employment and turn it over to the person responsible for payroll. You should be getting a check soon.

well.. first off. he shouldnt make your son cry to get toys. if my ex did that. there would be no way he would get to see my child! maybe you could find a family member or close friend to babysit for a little amount of money until you get your job. and then get him in daycare

i just went through this 2 years ago. if the court decides that he has to pay and he dosent then they will garnish his wadges. and if he gets payed under the table and still dosent pay they will send him to jail and the courts will pay.
