Roz, when your in mail room, click options top right hand corner.. it will delete all the spam there now and continue 2 delete spam as it comes in.. great option 2 have : ) also don't have your e-mail addy on in yahoo answers.. spam is at work there too.. bummer eh

The prior answers to close and reopen a new Yahoo account are good for getting you a new email address. In the long run, however, you may have the same problem. Spam is there whether we like it or not (and I've never met anyone who liked it).
Be aware that almost anything that you sign-up for using your email address is prone to being sold to email marketers. It's usually listed under the small print Terms & Conditions.
Reputable email marketers will have opt-out links on their mail so you can be removed from their mailing list. I try and complete those as much as possible. Unfortunately, a lot of email is from fly-by-night outfits which just want your money and don't care about anything else.
Yahoo mail does have a reasonably good spam feature and I use it a lot. I use the Yahoo Beta mail as by front end for 5 other domain email addresses so I'll get extra c**p, but at least I don't have to see it all in my in-box. Most of it is filtered through the spam folder.
Anyway, good luck with which ever solution you decide on.

Best way, just start a new account and forget about the old one. After so much time with no use Yahoo will automatically delete the old account.

they're like recites from internet factors of interest you have visited . any and all forbidden and fraudulent internet factors of interest you bypass to will sent a tag digital mail to you as and reminder that they exists and you're welcome back yet they want you to subscribe and pay a club value. do no longer even attempt and unsubscribe you're able to be able to get an epidemic or they are going to attempt and get in on your debts and different issues only end traveling the internet factors of interest that led to your direct mail folder to continually get loaded up with direct mail. some will end yet others will only shop returning. There all Trash and junk and direct mail.

You can remove any account except the master account . Just click on my account up in the right hand corner of your home page.

leave your old account.. sign up for a new one.. simple.. old account will get deleted after 120days if still inactive..
