And how can we expect differently, when they make so little?
The poor little urchin mexican kids live like little animals, evidently.
Beyond sad......they should haev stayed in Mexico and grew crops
or uphostered car seats or something......

so true about birth control....isn't that crazy to say that I honestly didn't think of that?
Or the fact that hispanic women have an average of 5 children/woman, far higher
than the replacement rate.......

Unfortunately, a lot of latinos are Catholic. Catholics do not believe in birth control. Therefore, free birth control would have little to no effect. They are used to having a lot of children to help support the family. The more children, the more workers; the more workers, the more money. It's a cultural difference that doesn't normally change until they are here for generations. Until then, our schools will continue to score poorly since they aren't helping support our school systems, no matter how many propositions or money we throw at the problem... Sorry, really upset about the state of the affairs in Southern Californian schools.

Maybe 80% of Africa lives beneath the poverty line, but most of the countries within Africa (since it's an entire continent with over 50 different countries and many more different types of economies), are third world nations. You can't begin to put them on the same level as people living in America.

What is more disturbing about the illegal immigrant poverty level in this country is that they would be even more poor if it wasn't for the sacrifice of American citizens who work to pay taxes that support programs like WIC. It's a free ride for people who broke the law to get here and I, for one, am sick of it. I work in retail and when I see an unemployed, illegal woman getting free juice, cereal and milk for her 6 kids while her illegal boyfriend is breaking a $100 bill at another register to buy cigarettes, it makes me want to tie them up, drag them and their kids back into Mexico and dump their asses off in the filth they came from. These assholes are not taking jobs we don't want. They are taking jobs that refuse to pay what their worth and no taxes are being collected. Therefore, they aren't even contributing to their own cause by paying taxes. No more free rides for people who break the law to steal from our citizens. We need to get everyone in congress who opposes tougher immigration laws out and replace them with people who are willing to earn the trust that we American citizens put in them to begin with. 90% of the WIC users who frequent the store I work at can barely read their own language. They are feeding their 3 plus kids for free on my dime and I have to smile at them and explain why they can't get sugar laden cereal for free, but rather iron fortified ones. My tax dollars should be spent insuring the needs of other middle classed and poor families in my community who are willing to work and speak English. Going to a foriegn country without bothering to learn the language is like an American saying, "I'm moving to Canada but I'm cutting my arm off first just to make it even harder to get a job in a country which doesn't deserve to support my lazy, stupid ***. 1/2 of the people on wic can't read or write English or Spanish, so why the hell are we giving them free food?
