we lived with the TWO MINUTE WARNING before global extinction.
Wars from Korea to Vietnam, Cyprus, Suez,Israel and Egypt, Rhodesia, Namibia, Ghana, Milawi, Hungary and a few more.
Riots in the street everywhere..UK, France, Germany, Italy, USA, China and Japan, Hong Kong and Chairman Maos Cultural Revolution.
Terrorists everywhere..Maost, Cubans, Che Gevarra, The Red Brigade, Badder Meinhoff and of cousre the dear old IRA.
Bombs going off in train stations, bus stations, cruise ships not forgetting aircraft.
Teachers who knocked your lights out and suffered from WWII brain damage.
Police like Nazis who clubbed you from charging horses.
We survived all that with no money, no condoms, no Pill or hope for the next day nevermind the future. All we had was The Beatles, The Beach Boys and Pot. So what's wrong with your world.

Well there are lot of things wrong with the world today.
To start people are too all consumed with happiness no matter the cost to their children or marriages. The divorce rate is to high due to people think they deserve to be happy all the time no matter what.Kids are allowed to run wild and are never disciplined and are over medicated.Im only 26 but even I can tell that medicating a hyper active child is not the best.Get his fat *** outside and make him burn off the energy and the cheetos.Kids have to many gadgets in their room, they are coddled like they are amazing precious gifts who can do no wrong. It sets them up for failure their whole life.
America has an over materialistis society where one must always have the newest the best the biggest the greatest.
Everyone has to have what they want right now! They cant wait.
There is a lot more but that will suffice for now.

I don't know about ' the old days' - I am not young, but I guess I fall into the middle! Basically the attitudes have changed - they way we treat others and what is socially acceptable has been lowered. There is such terrible things on TV now. Children are brought up expecting bigger and better - they would never listen to some of the harmless radio comedies or TV shows - they are far too lame.
Everyone is trying to make money. Not just shops but banks, scams - even hospitals.
I am a nurse. You try and help someone -but these days they try to sue the hospital to get 'compensation' - maybe they've had to wait too long because their isn't enough staff employed to cope (got to think of the profits and keep staff wages to a minimum)
and the managers blame the nurses - why? money - the managers would rather sack one of us than loose their precious profits. Children - even small ones - shout and fight the doctors, bite kick and scream - we would never have dared behave so badly. They won't take medicine or listen to their parents - because parents are too frightened to chastise them in case they are reported to socal services.
No one is friendly in the shops any more - the big shops are too worried about making their huge profits, and money making is driving the world.
We have crime here where Ilive, you phone the police but you get put on a waiting list and 3 hours later they send a car round to see there is no problem now - so that's it, job done as far as they are concerned.
and none of these problems are getting better - only worse yearly. Coupled witht he war and political conflict you talk of - I won't have children. Why on earth do so? The world is just not a nice enough place for my kids.

What is wrong with our world? US...We don't appreciate our world, each other. Perhaps if we all went up in space and looked at the world in a much different way, we would all think and act differently. I also feel that the world is the way it is because of technology. Sure it helps to have technology in aiding us to have a better life (cars, appliances, ipods, computers, etc.), but now we also have weapons of mass destruction. We have too many world leaders and organizations who want to rule the world. Too many leaders who want to control their people. Not enough democracy. What is the answer? God, Jesus? Love? I don't know. It seems pretty frightnening that a nuclear war can occur with little warning and end our life here on earth. So maybe an astroid hitting the earth isn't so bad after all. Maybe the end is near. Are you ready? I don't think I am.

We've got Brittany Spears, meth, crack, mothers and fathers who try to reason with 2 yr olds and buy them a gift when they act up and no honor in anything( relationships, jobs, environment, etc.) But don't worry, a 100 years from now our grandkids will be saying the same thing.

I know I was there - great times (you didn't mention the Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Yardbirds)
A screw is what we put in the wall to hang a picture.
A blow was a strong wind
Gay was when we were happy
A smoke was a cigarette
Good to talk to you
