Nosebleed Causes ################ Trauma to the nose (nose picking, foreign bodies, forceful nose blowing). The most common cause of a nose bleed is drying of the nasal membranes. Tumors, particularly malignant tumor of the nose or sinuses. The incidence of nosebleeds is higher during the colder winter months when upper respiratory infections are more frequent, and the temperature and humidity fluctuate more dramatically. Use of "blood thinning medications" called anti coagulants. Recurrent nosebleeds may be a symptom of an underlying disorder such as high blood pressure. Inflammation of the nose or sinuses and cold may cause a nose bleed. Deviated septum (when the partition between your nose is crooked), foreign objects in the nose, or other nasal obstruction may also cause nosebleeds. Symptoms Bleeding from one or both nostrils. Frequent swallowing. Sensation of fluid flow in the back of the nose and throat. Diagnosis of Nosebleed #################### A thorough medical history for previous bleeding, high blood pressure, liver diseases, use of anticoagulants, nasal trauma, family history of bleeding etc. should be taken. Analysis of blood coagulation parameters. Measurement of the blood pressure and X-rays of the skull and sinuses maybe necessary. Treatment

The place you sleep has very dry air. If you have those exposed radiators, place a bucket of water on it in the winter when the heat is on. It will add much needed moisture to the air. Another option is to get a humidifier. Turn it on at night or when you're not too busy and it should keep your nose from getting so dry and painful.

Dryness, humidity could cause it to bleed. Change in the weather. Try saline spray, vasoline or a humidifier at night to put moisture in your nose. Hope this helps.

I would imagine that it's because the air in your bedroom is too dry. Try getting a humidifier and there are some nasal creams available for moisturization purposes. That and go easy on the blow.

Do you suffer from any SINUS infections?
Normally, the sinuses are the blame for recurring nosebleeds (either by injury or inflamed or irritated membranes.)
Your AIR quality might cause this irritation.
Is it dry (a seasonal norm during the cold season)?
If so, then I suggest using a warm-mist HUMIDIFIER or cool-mist VAPORIZER inside your bedroom to moisturize the air.
GOOD HEALTH!

Severe dry sinuses. You need to put a humidifier in your bedroom, and use a moisturizing saline spray in your nose. Use as much as you can.

The air in your house or apartment is probably too dry. Use a room humidifier near your bed. Keep it filled. If that doesn't help, have someone check your blood pressure. It may be high.

Your blood pressure could be elevated and you could be having allergic reactions to dust, mites, etc. This is because your body is not functioning correctly at a cellular level and needs support. More info available at
