Who are you talking to? Who is racist against travellers? Which travellers?

I would never tar the entire traveller community with the same brush but I'm always wary of them. I've always been left with a sour taste in my mouth after any encounter with them. Being gay I'm not too popular with them and every experience I have had with travellers (which are very limited) I have been insulted or threatened by them. I've not had many experiences with travellers so by no means to I imagine all travellers to be the same, but I have not been given a good impression so far.

I wonder if you are talking about homelessness. I was with a program that reached out to homeless youth in San Diego, CA, and it sounds like you are talking from that kind of a background. Are you?
Homelessness seems exciting at first because of the extraordinary liberty you suddenly have... but a couple things are also extraordinarially lacking, and not just food and shelter. You're tough, right? You can do it on your own. But what about family? What about real friends, not just fellow funsters? Isn't life about relationships? Most of society places value on relationships, especially with family. Most homelessness comes from a lack of relationship with family. Here's the only thing I can say if you are in this kind of situation. Get yourself loved. And not only by another person that needs it just as much as you do... find relationships with people who you can discuss anger and pain with. You might think a lot of people just don't understand you, but I'd beg you to pray a minute, and ask God to put somebody in your path that actually cares enough to listen. Then listen. Expect an answer - it might not look like you think.
