This happened to my sister a few years ago. The tree was on her property so she was responsible for the damage done to the neighbors house. Your homeowners insurance should cover the damage.

The laws vary from State to State , City to City or if you live outside the US, I would imagine they are even more different. Call your City hall and ask or you might look up where you live on the net and look up government and do a search for laws.
Where I live if the tree is yours then you would be responsible.

Well, if the good neighbor policy still holds merit regardless of what the rules are for your area then think how you would want it handled if it were your house and your neighbor's tree and respond accordingly.

Hope yu have a homeowners policy!!yur tree,yur responsible.now if its in the right a way on street,city might be???your policy should cover you,check it out!!
