I'm looking to make a simple very large fish tank with aggresive fish so I can feed them feeder fish and have a very cool, yet simple set up? Saltware or freshwater fish acceptable.

You're most likely only going to be able to have just one fish in the tank if you want something that aggressive. As far as freshwater, blood parrots aren't that aggressive-have 7 of them, once in awhile you may find an aggressive one, but don't count on it. Check into cichlids, a lot of them are pretty aggressive.

Don't know much about salt water fish, but I know lionfish and puffers are fairly aggressive.

In a large tank if looking for aggressive fish I would look at cichlids they are colorful and very agressive. You may have lots of fighting on yout hands. Many can get large and they will definately eat other fish mine ate everything in it's tank including the betta and the oscar (bit by bit)

African cichlids are nice and they are VERY colorful. They are pretty easy to care for. Most of them get around 8 inches long.

You could feed them small guppies when they are large enough.

Going to your local Pet Smart or Petco is okay. It's true some employees have no idea what they are talking about, but some do. It depends on the store - but honestly it's like this everywhere. Even the specialty stores. Do a little research online before making your decision so you do not have to completely rely on what the salesman says.

You'll know better if they are just full of BS or if they know what they are talking about.

Oscars and other cichlids are aggressive and will eat feeder fish, but feeder fish are not really a good thing to feed to your fish. they may carry diseases and are not very well taken care of. They aren't even quarantined at the pet stores to prevent spreading sickness.

Go to a specialty aquarium store. They have everything divided up into sections (salt water, fresh water, community, and agressive) so you can pick what you want.
Don't go to Petco or Petsmart, those people are idiots. Go to a small shop and talk to the employees. They can give you great advise and show you exactly what you need. Buy your stuff there too. You pay a little more, but you are also getting experienced staff that you can refer to and rely on for advise if you have questions later.
Also, supporting small business is better for everyone. Those big stores have enough money, give to the little guy.

For a challenge-free fish tank setup- you dont want a saltwater tank. they are costly to establish, costly to inventory, and greater durable to look after. superb wait till you have a splash greater journey in conserving fish till now you pass to marine in simple terms yet. consistent with what style of set up you want- you may in all probability %. up a challenge-free fish tank that ought to hold a pair of goldfish- some a million' tank- for $10-$30 consistent with the place you get it from. you will want a clear out- challenge-free one for a tank this length could fee around $10, Gravel- $5, some vegetation like elodea- $5-$10, perhaps an ornament $10-$30, fish nutrition $5, pH attempt kit $10-$20, water air purifier $5 and the goldfish $10-$15. you may set up the tank- positioned the clear out in (first if its an undergravel clear out, certainly) wash the gravel and positioned it in, fill the tank with water, positioned the water conditioner in, verify the pH and ensure that its secure for the fish to pass in there. Then i could wait a pair of days, upload the vegetation, and upload the fish.

Parrot Fish are very aggressive, I have a warm water tank, I had a Parrot fish and had to get rid of it as it ate all my other fish, and any new ones we put in it ate them straight away, so it was either keep the parrot fish or get rid and have other fish, we went with the latter, you wont be disappointed with Parrot Fish if aggressive fish is what you want then these are for you.

Pacus (like baby pirahnas) are really cool. A word of advice though. Feed freshwater fish saltwater feeders. Feed Saltwater fish freshwater feeders. Every mutant feeder you drop in can spread disease and parasites, but only to its own medium. Freshwater parasites can't survive in salt water...get it.
