I believe president Bush did not start the current war against terrorism in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Terrorism had been attacking the west for more than 20 years with practically no answer from the west.
We must not forget :
A.- The first attack on the NY towers in 1993,
B.- USA embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998,
C.-Attack on warship “Cole” in Yemen,
D.- Marine Barracks in Lebanon.
E.-Munich Olympics,
F.-Vacational cruisers, (Aquile Lauro)
G.-Locker bee in Scotland.
H .-Bali in Indonesia.
I .- Dozens of blown up planes and assassinations,
J.-They even tried to kill the Pope.
K.-And finally the attack of 9/11
What did terrorist States and organizations expect?
What did they think the west was made of MEN or mice?
Of course there will always be mice.

I wasn't sleeping. I saw George Bushes plan unfold on T.V like everyone else. Think about it. if a Plane really hit the Pentagon, What happened to the Wreckage? Are we to believe that a passenger airliner can smash into a Building and leave no Wreckage at all? Also what happened to the Black Boxes of the other aircraft. George Bush would have us believe that the Fires burned so hot that the Boxes melted. But by some Miracle one of the Hijackers Passports (which is made with Paper) Survived the Heat. C'mon open your Eyes. George Bush wanted a War. and he was gonna get it even if he had to start it himself.

Thank you for the links.
Too bad you'll get the typical ranting that "this" is not connected to "that" by the same people who keep screaming this is not a"black and white" world or problems are more "complex" than that on every other issue. You know, the same people who hysterically demaded why didn't Bush "connect the dots" and prevent 9/11 (and those 'dots' made by a pencil BEFORE he took office).
Seems the present skeptics of the war are now those not connecting "dots".

Given that Iraq had NO involvement in 9/11 -- and GW has admitted that fact (FINALLY!) he is clearly not to be trusted.
Going into Afghanistan after UBL was the right move. Few people argue with that, liberal or otherwise. However, he lost sight of the real objective in going into Iraq.
Had we put the resources in Afghanistan that were wasted in Iraq, it's most likely that UBL would be a footnote in history by now and the world would be a MUCH safer place.
BTW, this isn't the rantings of a liberal. It's based on 21+ years of military service, including the First Gulf War.

Firstly, to read the facts then direct us to FOX News...LMAO. That's like stating "read the facts" and using a NY Times LINK...LOL. Bush started his own war in Iraq. Even his former toadies are admitting this. Woodward was a Bush darling with his first two books. Now, he's a "liberal-leaning journalist with an agenda"....HA HA HA. Politics is a distraction, just like the media, gay marriage, flag burning and other impotent, non-pertinent topics. 9-11 (depending on your belief and which version you cite as truth) was done by Al Qaeda--19 hijackers, 15 of which were Saudi. We belatedly went into Afghanistan, and found that Pakistan was supporting both the Taliban and Al Qaeda....yet they're our partners in this pseudo-War on Terror? Puh-leez...feed that BS to someone else. Next thing you'll be telling me that Clinton and Bush, Sr. hated each other, despite the factual evidence proving otherwise. What a friggin joke.

No, liberals would not blame Al Gore for 911 like they did with Bush. If Al Gore have been elected, they could declare the country has come mutually. Souls could be fastened. Spirits could be healed. Public discourse could be larger. Liberals could declare civility and tolerance interior the Age of Gore. of their minds they could have a suited choreographed fantasy worldwide which might dispute human nature. they might swoon on the assumption of status on the area of the hill on the same time as reciting poetry with speaking raccoons and eating decaffeinated Coke. They understand basically hate for people who disagree with their Utopian imaginative and prescient of unchecked liberalism. o_O

I am a Liberal and a New Yorker and I was wide awake...as a matter of fact, I was in the area when the first plane hit.
As far as Bush starting Wars...I agree with him going into Afghanistan but going into Iraq was a personal thing for him.
He wanted revenge for his Daddy!
So Yes!, he has started unnecessary Wars!
Get a life...MORON!

Bin Laden attacked the World Trade Center. Saddam had nothing to do with the attack. He didn't plan it, he didn't finance it, the hijackers weren't from Iraq, the hijackers didn't even train in Iraq. Yet Bush CHOSE to go to war in Iraq. We didn't start a war with Osama but Bush did start one with Saddam and they had nothing to do with each other. What part of this don't you understand?

I was not asleep during 9/11. However, the 9/11 terrorist attack has no legitimate connection to the invasion of Iraq.
