I think part of being strong about your stands is ignoring people who try to scare you away from standing up or question why you're standing up. To me, that's their own insecurity that you're standing, and they are not. They shouldn't care one way or the other, and neither should you.

If it is something I feel strongly about, I will come on with a strong stand. I think that people should just remember that you have to choose your battles. If you act so strongly about everything, then people will stop listening b/c they won't know that you really do feel strongly about this issue. Only fight the important battles or else people will just write it off as you being an overly dramatic person. If you fight about everything, then none of it is important to anyone.
