that's gorgeous. The rhythm and rhyme run comfortable as waves lapping on a shore, like a crooning night-time music, echoing the content. i like the audial imagery interior the 2d and nil.33 stanzas that no longer purely tricks that the amulets are sea shells, yet implies the two the well-known of distance ("a techniques from abode") and of intimacy ("pay attention close," "in my youthful ear") because of the fact the comfortable murmuring of a enjoyed voice and lullaby soothing you to sleep. We pay attention your Nan's comforting voice here. Then interior the fourth stanza, you turn to captivating seen imagery and the care and love you cherish on those shells brings interior the tangible high quality presented in the process the poem. i can sense the shells. i admire the line "of pink, easy eco-friendly and opaline." The final 2 strains, as meant, tie each and every of the photos at the same time purely and strikingly. A poem to be enjoyed greater suitable than the shells, because of the fact it could't be lost or broken and might supply an analogous amulet to everybody. we are in a position to lose issues, yet we won't lose memories, and you have shown that enlightenment.

I believe the one name you omitted is the name most commonly used for this shell - chank, or Indian chank. I don't know if that name has any connection with the Thai language.
