Have you ever had a boss that was a pompous jerk? How do you avoid letting their comments affect you?

I did have a boss that was a total something I won't mention on here. She would publicly yell at her employees making everyone feel low.

The problem is you want to have a positive spin on your job so that you look forward some-what to doing your work. You are "suppose" to be able to look to your boss for guidance not try to avoid him at all costs.

I say if he cannot respect you as a human-being then look some where else.

Yes, and without noicing it, 6 years passed by. First of all my friend, think that he is your Boss. If you are in his shoe hope that atleast somebody from atleast one of your employees will understand you. Be open to comments, learn from him. Always remember everything is not permanent, there is always reason for everything. God is just waiting for you to ask help from Him. Lift up your burdens to the Lord ..and you will see.

you should remember that they are a pompus jerk for a reason, because they are rubbish at their job. He/she is making comments that affect you then tell ask them this, 'when you make comments like that to me you make me feel like this............,when i feel like this i find it difficult to do.................. and the end result is i feel like (demotivated & resentment). do you have an HR dept or any union contacts? Good luck and remember their the jerk and they don't know how lucky they are to have YOU
