Yes it's disrespectful to all women. I guess they think it's separate from their personal life?? I don't understand why anyone, male or female, parent or not, would make songs that are specifically degrading to women (or anyone). I guess there's a market for it.

When people are signing or rapping about what they know, they are not necessarily promoting this type of behaivor. Music is a form of expression and there's a lot of angry people in the world. Would you rather they go out and actually do these things or would rather they hit a recording studio and blow off steam? I would take the latter. I am a woman and I have two stepdaughters and I love Eminem. But would I let my kids listen to it? Absolutely not. They're still too young. Adults know the difference between right and wrong and even if you hate these people and disagree with what they say, it is still their right to say it. Just like it's your right to say that you think it's disrespectful. If you don't like it, don't listen. If it's innapropriate, don't let your kids listen. It's that simple.

Basically its like this..... sex and violence sells. You notice a lot more caucasians started listening to rap and hip hop after Eminem broke that color line. That is one insane white boy, he says stuff a black man would have never said due to contreversy.
Anyhow, he will have to teach Haley its just the art of making the money. Just because he raps crazy doesnt mean he will act upon what he says in his music, us as adults just gotta know when and where and who to allow to listen to the music. Eminems music is obviouly not for minors and although they will get to the music and listen to it anyway, for the most part it is teenagers getting a hold of this music and "THEY" are old enough to comprehend the difference between what is Rapped about and reality.

I get my wife from behind all the time, so doesn't seem to mind at all. 'Let' her perform? I only wish it were that easy! LOL. Calling them names and slapping them, well, that is obviously unkind, disrespectful and unlovable.
It's all done for attention and money. If that is what they want, then, they know how to get it. Unfortunately, people buy that stuff. Most likely because they wish they could do it themselves and get away with it. The only question is, why?

I think that most rap music is disgusting anyway, but I think it's especially bad when they have kids. However, I know Eminem does not let his kids listen to his music and is actually a very affectionate father.

You are exactly right. That is so disrespectful. I mean think about it,if someone did that to his daughter he would want to beat their azz yet he is promoting it in his music.
