There are normal variations from year to year. However, the range of normal has changed, and there ARE more severe storms. The ocean water is warmer, and that is a factor that causes hurricanes . This should not be a political issue, it's a scientific one! Ask yourself why it's a political issue? Who profits by making it one? Could it be large businesses which polute? People with their money in the oil industry?
