Hi! I am also an accounting major and have been researching entry salaries at the big 4 companies as I also will graduate in a year. I will be in the audit department. I had a question/answer session with a recruiter for PWC. She said that the beginning salary you can expect is around 45,000 but also that there is usually a small signing bonus and they pay for your prep-class for the CPA exam as well as the CPA exam itself. I hope that helps. I've heard that salaries usually go up fairly fast the first few years and after about 6 years you can be making 80-90,000.

I used to work for a mid-sized CPA firm. What Amy says sounds about right.
