Maybe I should elaborate: The people in my "favorites" list aren't necessarily my friends. And if they are I don't want to remove them as friends or ignore them. I just want them out of my "favorites" list.

simple.........
on the orange bar on your friend list is an icon on the top right that says "edit friends". click the boxes of the friends you dont want on there then scroll to the bottom and click the icon that says "delete selected". also if you want to block these people go to their page and the box that says rank user, e-mail user, etc....at the bottom at the right hand corner it says "block user" click on it adn presto.....all done!

Click on the person profile and click ignore that should do it
