I have had this pipe (2 3/8 inch steel pipe)
sticking out of the ground ever since I can remember- (I just cannot remember what it was for)!
I finally got tired of mowing around it last week and cut it off...
Now I have no water pressure in my well... since the well and pump are inside my house I never made the connection that this pipe was actually, probably the well itself, or something very important to do with it???

I already realized that I am an idiot, (So please, there is no need to mention this in your response)- but could someone PLEASE tell me how to fix it now?

My house is on a lake in NE wisconsin...

HELP!!!

my guess...a vacuum release stack, like your sewer pipe has. Dig down to it and clear it out maybe all you have to do, but keeping it clear will be a problem.

Pipe probably provided a vaccum for the pump to draw the water. Can you not reweld the pipe back together? Or dig and replace I really did not know anyone actually lived in Wisconsin

NO ! Thats the "curb box" that turns your service ON and OFF, dig down around it, and get a pipe wrench on it, turn it 1/4 turn to the left, or what ever way is "ON", have someone yell out to you when the pressure is back on, then stop turning. Dig around it, (if no pipe is left), dig down until you expose the valve, then turn it on with an adjustable wrench. Put a protctive sleeve or can over the valve, in case you have to dig it up again, put a mark at the curb where the valve is with spray paint (MARK OUT).

Get someone to weld the pipe back together or in a emergency situation, wrap a piece of inner tube around the two pipes and secure it with several worm clamps.

Hire a plumber to come out and fix the pipe you just ****ed up.

I have a feeling that you clogged up the air line by cutting it down to ground level. Same principal that works in your house.
