The Republicans believe it is a good way to get votes. It works in the short run, and like business people who only care for next quarter's profits, they only care about winning in the next election.

Little, if anything...it is a collasal waste of energy, causes seriously bad Karma, and accomplishes only bad things for the hater. Unfortunately, many are harmed in the journey of hate, with no real end goal in sight. Foolish people spend their lives hating this or that, or both...All too often, they live out their old age wondering why they are in such a lonely, pitiful state, never knowing what they did wrong. Pity, but will always be. It is the nature of some of the beasts ... ignorance breeds hate.

I gave up hate 20-10 years ago - although I still occassionally get angry.
Now I have lots more free time & a sunnier disposition :-)

That you get rid of the things and people you hate, so then you don't have to suck up to them. Hating is better than being a suck-up.
