mine are going counter right now in florida. depends on which way the blades are angled i guess. you want them blowing down in summer, pulling up in winter.

The blades should rotate clock wise in the summer. If you have a switch that changes the blade direction, change it.
The blades should run counter clock wise in the winter. This will move the warm air that rises and push it out toward the walls and back into the room.

As you stare up at it, it should turn counterclockwise in the summer, assuming this is pushing the air downward. Some fans may be different. The purpose of a ceiling fan is to keep the air moving and make you feel cooler by helping your body remove heat from itself. As long as you can feel the air, the direction is really a non-issue.

in winter, the fan should rotate in the direction that pushes the air up toward the ceiling. That way, the warmer air comes down along the walls and you do not feel the draft. In the summer, you want the fan in the direction to push the air down.

Summer clockwise -- it will blow the air DOWN towards you.

Winter counterclockwise -- it will take the hot air (that naturally rises) and circulate it -- thus lower heat bills.

It doesn't depend on the season, it's the TILT of the blades that determines which way the the fan should turn.
