Aluminum bat would make more sense. in many moves I've seen zombies eat through wood, and eat through doors.

Aluminum bats make your arm tingle if you hit a hard patch of ice with them....so I'm assuming they'd be preferred for zombie bashing as well.

Vote for the Aluminum but really would prefer a silver coated one bless by a Catholic priest that emits holy water.
That way in case they are also a vampire you nailed them.
