These things happen due to our karmas(actions) ie. thoughts, words and deeds of not only this life but also of the past and previous countless lives.

I believe that by creating good causes in this life, we can accumulate that much of good fortune that whatever we desire, that can be achieved by us within this life time.

Also some people are born fortunate because they have got a great good balance of GOOD KARMA of their PAST LIVES...that they get its benefit in this life time.

LIFE, IN FACT, IS ALL ABOUT KARMA (cause and effect). THATS Y EVERY PERSON'S CIRCUMSTANCES DIFFER, EVERY PERSON IS BORN IN DIFFERENT ENVIRONMENT,TO DIFFERENT PARENTS, BORN EITHER RICH OR POOR, BORN EITHER HEALTHY OR ILL, ETC.

well, i am one of those who gets what they want. i have realized this ever since a good friend of mine told me several years ago that everything in life feels like a struggle for him and even though he knows i've had some rough spots and struggles, it just seems like life flows for me in a way it does not for him.

there are several reasons why this happens:

1. i attribute meaning to the smallest coincidences that occur in my life. these synchronicities make me feel alive and connected to the heartbeat of reality. read "the celestine prophecy" for more info.

2. i have experimented with mind altering hallucinogens. research everything before you try it, using a website like erowid.org, but in general i have found (and recent research into hallucinogenic mushroom use confirms) that people who have experienced altered states of reality - especially if those experiences have a spiritual tone to them - tend to have a better grasp on the place their consciousness occupies in the grand scheme of things.

3. i have experienced the phenomenon of manifesting my desires into concrete reality. the secret to this is walking the line between believing in it 100% and then feeling put out when it doesn't work for you on the one hand and totally dismissing the possibility on the other. integral to its success is being open and unattached to any outcomes. realizing that i create every moment of my life from my own desires - whether i'm conscious of the process or not - is also a big help. check out http://zendik.org/new1/wulf/wulfphilcrea.html for more info.

of course, meditation NEVER hurts, and the more you can do it the better for you.

i am not discounting the possibility that there are people out there who get what they want and to whom these things do not apply... all i can speak from is my own experience.

Me neither :(

Life is random. A lot of it's down to luck. Being in the right place at the right time, levels of competition for what you're trying to get... I don't know. Also some people project success more by keeping all their failings a secret!

Hopefully it all works out in the end though.

I think it's a question of confidence mixed with balls mixed with a little luck. That's not to say all those who get actually deserve and all those who don't get deserve. In fact it's equally often not the case at all. But I do believe in what goes around comes around, and they that deserve will sooner or later get in one form or another.

Life is hard, and some people may be blessed more than others but they do have their own problems. Its just the way it is.

Those who do not get what they want, do not try to get what they want. They are so interested with the thoughts of other people that they sometimes do what other people tell them to do, thus they do not reap the reward. So, they must also want to do whwat other people want them to do. Thus theydo not get what they want because they do not really want to work hard for what they want. I hope that explains it.

me and my g/f are polar opposites with this point. she will stress herself silly over the smallest things and even worse over big things,

but im really laid back and chilled, never stressed - when an immediete problem appears ill just deal with it calmly.

i dont know why this differance is here but variety is the spice of life!!
