I'm from Aus you see, and we use 000 for emergency and 11/9 for 11th Sept!

Is there anyone into numerology out there who has any insights into this. Or does anyone believe the perpetrators planned this numerologically significant date?

have you ever seen the $20 bill folded in a certain way so that there is actually a picture of the 2 towers and the smoke rising from them? there are TONS of odd/interesting things that correspond to 9/11 ... I am not one who believes in any form of superstition, but it is an eye opener...

.Hello Australia, In short I don't think the terrorists were that clever. The reason I think it was called 911 was because it was catchy and it sells newspapers. A news-editor in any newspaper would have picked up on that in 10 seconds.Remember in the year 2000 the newspapers were working people up about all the computers going down. They called it Y2K which meant the year 2000. Why not just say 2000 ,because Y2K sounds more ominous. If you told an American what Dec.7 meant to him without saying anymore to him, he would immediately think of Pearl Harbour. It has more to do about marketing news than anything else.

Yes, they planned it for that day because we use that to number to call in an emergency. They also ment to hit the towers at exactly 9:11am, they weren't off by much. Do you think that was clever of them?

Alright, the guy below me needs to post that as a question!

Being a canadian, I noticed it the first time I ever heard it referred to as '9/11'. I guess you're right, in Australia it'd be much harder to notice.

Anyway, I think it's just another case of finding patterns where there aren't any. I mean, they could just as well have written it as 11/9 or 9/11/01, neither of which has any particular meaning.

It has been said that the terrorists planned it on 9/11 for that reason. However, alot has been said and most of it is bullsh*t so I dont know what to believe anymore.

Kinda scary though huh?
