It has to be a striker. I'm not interested in midfielders.

Everton's Andrew Johnson is currently the leading scorer, but I'm not sure his lucky streak will last. My money's on Chelsea's Frank Lampard.

Current Premiership Top Scorers leaderboard:

Andrew Johnson - Everton 6
Nwankwo Kanu - Portsmouth 6
Darren Bent - Charlton 5
Didier Drogba - Chelsea 5
Bobby Zamora - West Ham 5
Tim Cahill - Everton 4
Frank Lampard - Chelsea 4
Benedict McCarthy - Blackburn 4
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - Man Utd 4
Shola Ameobi - Newcastle 3
El-Hadji Diouf - Bolton 3
Kevin Doyle - Reading 3
Thierry Henry - Arsenal 3
Rob Hulse - Sheff Utd 3
Brian McBride - Fulham 3

Don't people read the question. Many people have chosen foreign players when the question clearly states "Englishman". One person even mentioned Bobby Moore who god rest his soul has been dead for some time now. I would have to go for Johnson of Everton. Darren Bent is playing in a struggling side and will not feature. I cannot think of another Englishman who will score on a regular basis.

Oh, if only Henry was English!!!

It'll probably be either Johnson of Everton or Bent of Charlton.

Crouch and Defoe would normally be up amongst the favourites, but since neither have a definite place for their teams at the moment, its unlikely.
