Buca di Beppo is authentic tasting??? Hmmm. Never was served anything like Buca while *I* was in Italy. . .

Anyway, it's a fun place with enormous portions. You don't go there for a quiet romantic night out. I think it's like a cross between Friday's and Olive Garden - it's not high end, but you pay for chain food and the atmosphere. It wouldn't be *my* first choice for a night out with a BF. More like a girl's night out with at least 4 people.

Buca di Beppo in Vegas is wonderful. The portions are indeed family-style, but not ridiculously so. Comparing Buca's to Olive Garden is like comparing Outback with Denny's. The food at Buca's is not bland, but is very authentic tasting. The atmosphere is fun, the servers are great, and did I mention the food is delicious. Their cheesecake dessert has been called the best ever by everyone I've gone there with (and I've been a LOT). Be sure to mention you haven't been before and you'll get the kitchen tour.

Buca di Beppo is not worth it. Besides the fact that it is served family style and meant for parties of 4 or more. Between the 2 of you, you'll have leftovers to take home. The food is very mediocre and you could probably make italian food at your own home much better than they do at Buca. I would suggest trying another place...heck, even Olive Garden is better!
Happy Birthday, though!

I personally do not like Buca di Beppo. It's basically another Olive Garden that serves family sized portions of "authentic" Italian food...doctored up Chef Boy Ardi!!! Also, you come out of that place smelling like a garlic patch...hope he doesn't plan on taking you to an upscale club on the strip!!! pewwwww!!!

There so many more good quality restaurants to go to...esp in Vegas!!!

I haven't been to the one one Las Vegas, but I have been to one in another state. It's Italian food. Everything is served family style. Meaning if you order spaghetti you get a pot of spaghetti, if you order lasagna you get a pan of lasagna.

I believe each entree will serve 3-4 people. Y'all are going to have to agree on what to order and order together ... or just have a weeks worth of leftovers. The food isn't bad, you can dress on the casual side, and the set up/decor is kinda fun.

I think you should try it.

Skip Buca...the food is horrible, I've only eaten there once and got horribly sick. Head to Roy's (Hawian Fusion) off the strip or a personal favorite of mine Emeril's Delmonico in the Venetian.

Buca is not that good. Some people love it but I think it's the worst tasting Italian I have ever had. I have eaten there and got sick before to. It is not the best food and the atmosphere is loud and noisy and very crowded that if you are thinking it will be quiet and romantic think again. Not to mention they try to rush you in and out like cattle.

Tell your boyfriend no thanks to many bad reviews have him take you somewhere romantic and special around town like....
Bella Luna
Ferraros'
Maggiano's
All Italian and all good. Your worth it and if not screw him!

I've been there once in another state, they're a chain so I can only assume the food is the same everywhere. It's family style so everyone shares a plate of asparagus, say. Funky Italian decor. And the menus are on easels they plop down in front of the table if you can't read the giant one on the wall. It's great food.

I went there with some freind, and that i however the nutrition rabnged from undesirable to truly reliable. it is not a super place for astonishing fod, however the parts are huge. We have been given 5 huge plates, and a cake for $30 a individual. This become in Seattle, yet who knows, perhaps the bucas in Philly are greater desirable.

Are you, like, 12? It's a chain- like Chuck E Cheese for adults, not a special occasion.

If he's hard core and wants old skool Italian to impress you he'd take you to Battista's or Venetian (not the casino, the restaurant off the strip)
