When I shop, I will buy items that say they donate to breast cancer awareness if I am going to buy that product anyway, but does it seem like every manufacturer is jumping on a bandwagon to make a profit?
Do we really need to spend $7 for a jar of jam so they can send $0.50 to a foundation when we could spend $2 for jam and send $5 ourselves? Wouldn't that make more sense?
Or are most people less inclined to make their own donations, good as their intentions are - so it's better to buy the products to ensure that at least something is getting done?
