The British General in charge of the Army got it right when he said the war on Iraq was "based more on optimism than sound planning”.
We have always known this but when are the NEOCONS here are going to accept the truth.

Well, you are either psychic or listen to your news reports much more carefully than most idiot Americans! Just this AM...the Dod annouced we could expect our troops to be in Iraq for FOUR MORE YEARS!!!
Great...wonderful! Since Shrubya couldn't shout that out while campaigning for re-election, guess he decided to make the slogan his policy for Iraq!
And, just to stop you from wondering: NEOCONS will NEVER admit they're wrong because they will NEVER admit the truth about their policies, nor about their "golden boy", aka, the Chimp in Charge! They've got serious egg on their faces and they're NOT going to cry "Uncle" antime soon!

Wars, by their very nature, involve unforeseen situations and unknown conditions. The best leaders are the ones that respond well to changes in plans. A student of history can point out many instances when the victories of great generals such as Alexander the Great, Wellington, Grant and Patton were triumphs of optimism or even luck rather than results of sound planning.
One can only hope leaders do what is right because it is the right thing to do, and trust that their good intentions will prevail.

I read the article, and this general calls for a redeployment of it's british troops. Not everyone is satisfied with the Bush Administration. I agree, bring the soldiers home.

I think Fozzie Bear has the attitude that does not help. You have killed a million people in Iraq, what else do u want. I really believe sectarian violence is the policy of the Bush administration and they succeeded.

There are great things going on over there. The vast majority of Iraqi citizens are grateful to us for freeing them from a harsh dictator. Talk to some soldiers who have been there instead of believing what the liberal media shows you.
We are winning. We are training the Iraqis to defend themselves, but this can't take place overnight. We still have soldiers in Germany keeping an eye on things. Where's your outrage over that?
We can win. Our soldiers will come home in due time.
