Is PLANT ESTROGEN which is found in soya milk likely to have the same effects as normal estrogen, i.e. give manboobs?

Probaly less likely than gaining man boobs from drinking too much. I work in an "affiliated industry" to those selling the soy milk. I have never heard of any man growing a set from drinking too much soy milk.

Soya milk is safe and healthful for both men and women. Men naturally have some estrogen in their bodies, just as women have some testosterone. Soya milk adds such a teeny tiny amount to what your body produces naturally that it should not be a concern. Excessive breast growth in men is caused by genetics, not soy products. Extreme overweight can also be a factor, but you're less likely to get excess weight from soy products than from many other forms of food or beverage - soft drink or beer is a much more likely culprit. So enjoy your Silk!

Incidentally, meat contains a lot of artificial hormones designed to make cattle "beefy" and poultry bigger breasted - these may be more likely to cause mischief than soya "estrogen."

I would not encourage a male to eat or drink too much soy for that reason and for things you may not see going on from too much estrogen...everything in moderation, soy included..especially if it is genetically modified which almost all soybeans are unless they are organic. Look up www.mercola.com for more info on how soy isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Yes - and I would never trust an answer from the industry or "affiliated industry" see the article in mens health pointed to by this link. http://www.menshealth.com/nutrition/soys-negative-effects?fullpage=true Then never touch the stuff again!

unlikely, but probably another health scam to make money. Imagine all these people drinking soya because cow is soooo bad and full of hormones - probably what they don't tell you is soya is worse!

No, because it is too low a dose. You have more chance of developing breasts from drinking beer.
