how to protect my email with junk mails?

i m getting various unwanted mails from unknown email i.d.which i dont want. How can i protect my email from all unwanted mails.

The best thing to do is when you first subscribe to a new e-mail, put a number in the e-mail. Spammers just e-mail out to every letter in the alphabet and once they get a reply that the e-mail is legitimate, they send on more things.

You also have to try to not hand out your e-mail to all the websites you visit. It can start with one and then one shares with another and so on.
