Note: Before uninstalling SecurityCenter, you must uninstall VirusScan, Personal Firewall, Privacy Service, and SpamKiller.

1. Click on the Start button.
2. Point to Settings (XP users skip this step).
3. Click on Control Panel.
4. Double click Add or Remove Programs.
5. Locate McAfee SecurityCenter in the list of installed programs.
6. Single click on SecurityCenter so that it is highlighted.
7. Click the Add/Remove or Change/Remove button.
8. Follow the prompts to remove SecurityCenter.
9. Restart your computer.

McAfee SecurityCenter has been removed from your computer.

If for some reason, you have removed all of your other McAfee programs and SecurityCenter will still not uninstall, do the following:

1. Double-click on My Computer (on some XP systems, click Start → My Computer).
2. Double-click on drive C:
3. Double-click on the Program Files folder
4. Double-click on the mcafee.com folder
5. Double-click on the agent folder
6. Double-click on the app folder
7. Delete any files that end with .adf by right-clicking the file and selecting Delete
8. Use the Control Panel to remove SecurityCenter, as listed above.

I’m not sure what your problem is but I am going to assume McAfee will not uninstall for you using the Add/Remove Programs….. from the control panel. Go to this site: http://www.myfixes.com/articles/mcrem and scroll down to” The Manual Removal of McAfee” and follow the instructions.

In Step 2 instead of looking for a 032 category look for a 023 category. I believe there was a transposition. I could not find any 032 category when I did it..

In Step 4 if you cannot delete McAfee.com (like I couldn’t) then go back into safe mode and delete it (like I had to).

In Step 5 be sure to backup the Registry. In my XP it was under File > Export. I selected the top (*.reg) format.

As an extra step after I completed the removal of McAfee as described I did a search on McAfee and deleted everything that was found.

I am now McAfee free and loving it.

you can uninstall it from control panel > add/remove programs. However if you can't or if it is still on your computer, then do as follows. Following steps for manual Uninstallation.
1) start > run . Type msconfig. Press OK.Check under two tabs, namely services and startup for entries of mcafee. If found uncheck it.press OK. reboot.
2) Search in C:\program files\
a folder name containing mcafee. If found delete it.
3) If you are unable to delete the file, if the computer refuses to delete the file then
4)start > run.Type regedit.press OK.
Click on Edit > Find. Type mcafee. The search will show entries of mcafee in the registry. Delete the key. Then press F3 to find next. Delete all occurances of mcafee.
5) Download and Install Free RegScrubXP registry cleaner
http://www.sofotex.com/RegScrubXP-download_L7528.html
It detects obsolete entries from registry, and can remove them.
6) Once you remove entries of mcafee from the registry, then go back to the mcafee folder on the hard disk, and delete it. The computer will delete the files, if the entries from the registry are removed.

The above steps will uninstall it completely.

Steps
GO TO c:\program files\mcafee.com\agent\app and remove all files in this folder.
Return to "Add and Remove Programs" in the Windows Control Panel, highlight McAfee Security Center and click on remove.
Close all windows and restart the computer. Insert the CD and reinstall the McAfee security center, if necessary.
If this does not work, run "services.msc" and set properties on all McAfee services to disabled and recovery to "none". Reboot computer and remove with "Add and Remove Programs"

Tips
NOTE: Whenever you're having trouble uninstalling Norton and McAfee always make sure that nothing is disabled in MSCONFIG... startup and services tab you will have problems removing the program if any component is disabled pertaining to the software.
Note: Before uninstalling SecurityCenter, you must uninstall VirusScan, Personal Firewall, Privacy Service, and SpamKiller.

Most anti-viruses are deleted by a hole other program wich are needed to buy. Some need to follow steps that are on the main site and be uninstalled by that. But if you want to weed it out use Regalyzer (from www.spybot.info) and delete all McAfee related registry entities, then delete it from the installation directory, and finally search the whole computer for McAfee related files. That's the best way, but be cautious what you delete. After you restart you can get rid of those files wich were still running.

Actually you dont need any program to uninstall Mcafee security center. You can uninstall it manually by accessing the control panel option in your PC and then go to add/remove programs. Select Mcafee security center and click remove. Another way of uninstalling it is by accessing the folder of the software in the start menu, then go to programs and go to McAfee folder and select the Uninstall option. Thats all.

I am not sure why you need another program to uninstall McAfee Security Center. Have you tried going to your add/remove programs in the computer and uninstalling from there.

(not being funny here) did you go to Start, Programs, McAfee and try to uninstall from there? did you try to go to the control panel, add/remove programs? I don't think there's a "program" out there to do this.
