Signs of the times... all great nations from the past have fallen and this one is no different.

It's called Gen X.... they started this Radical Liberal BS back in the 60/70's. It started out as a good cause...to stop the Vietnam Conflict (War) but once the celebrities/musicians/media got ahold of the idea they totally warped it and made it a zealot campaign.

IE...Lennon's song "Imagine"....here he is singing about imagine the world without poverty when he's sitting in an Upper Eastside Penthouse....what a F'in oxymoron.....AND he was a Brit at that! Came over here and made his money off the American teenagers....then decides to cash in on our plight with OUR boys dieing over there.

The country now is product of it's environment....this is what happens when you give uneducated low classes a little bit of money...the country becomes a Socialist government. Study the French Revolution and the years prior to it....hello...oh how history repeats it's self; they were a socialist's. Also, study the Fall of the Roman Empire again....hello again....it's exactly what is happening in the US today. A great and power country can't stay at the top for ever the star will fizzle out.....it's sad we have to be on the down swing. At least you got to experience the country at it peak. Think how us Gen Y's feel....somehow we have to get the country out the mess our parents got it into. *shrug*

Good point. Radicalism gets us nowhere we should stay open minded regardless of ones views and standpoint. People who say stuff like that and refuse to open their minds and hearts are too radical and should in fact be more moderately willing to listen and express points of view and supplement these points with logical reasoning. Communication is key to prevent the second civil war... we are unable to clearly express our selves and earn sympathy/empathy from an opposing party that when one crosses the line into radicalism. Democrats should not work against Republicans and vice versa. If we divide our country by political party( which it already is) we will fall short and tear this nation apart. It saddens me because I wonder whether or not this is truly the nation our fore fathers envisioned and fought so hardly to protect. I am truly saddened by American politics and those who are foolish enough to stand to either extreme and refuse to grow, and progress If both sides continue to holdfast we will divide our selves, divide and conquer the art of war. every nation America has screwed will be bully gang up and rape our country for all we have ad hold dear. We must work together that is the true american way....

~cheers

In the year 2000, Democracy died in America and Bush ushered in Nazi-ism.

He used the same "divide and conquor" tactics that Hitler used.

Nazi-ism accepts torture, marching people off in the middle of the night, never to be heard from again for no reason except some Nazi squealer supspects them of being anti-Nazi-ism.

Wire-tapping and spying on the country's own citizens is certainly a Nazi tactic.

The Nazis believe in one tiny upper class and a vast majority of working class and underpriveledged who are under control of those with the big buck$.

The Nazis believe that there is one super race, and all others should be exterminated.

Sound familiar with the Bush regime's desire to kill off Latinos, Arabs, Africans and Gays?

Republicans hate everybody that doesn't bow to their every whim, this is true, and they need to get down on their knees and ask for forgiveness from God before it's too late.

If they are afraid of terrorism they sure will have an eye opening event come the Great Judgement Day.

Thank you for your question Mae. We have become divided because our "leaders" have effectively used various tools (the devils arsenal) of hate, pride, racism and FEAR to pit american against american. While they steal billions going on trillions. And we are already loaded up for a civil war, america will tear itself apart from the inside. When the dust settles, the troops will move in carry those who are against the war in iraq and other national atrocities away in chains while our very own neighbors will cheer them on. Our country is on the verge of a military occupation by its own govt. Iraq is just a training ground because an economic collapse is imminent, when we start rioting for gasoline, food, batteries and water it will make Louisiana look like a sunday school picnic. It is coming and it is being fueled by the hatemongers of this country who truly dont have a clue and are genuinely spineless to stand up to the people who are orchestrating the demise of this country. It is upon us, it is not a maybe. We have 5 1/2 years at best. Bu rather than confront the real enemy its (???????) to yell hate at your neighbor, church member, family member or anyone who isnt chained with the spirit of fear Anyone who isnt chanting USA, Patriot this and patriot that. Its both frightening and sickening. Better pray and pass the bullets because it is coming. Literally right here in our own backyard.

If you look at the history of our country - we have always been divided. There was the Whiskey Rebellion very early in our history as a country. Then the Civil War only 80 years after becoming a country.

Look at the Prohibition question to drink or not to drink divided the country

Issues always arise that appear to be divisive, most of the issues are worked out over an extended period of time.

Only when one group claims moral superiority over another do we as country run into problems. The rush to settlement often causes our greatest turmoil.

Our country has evolved into a semi-dictatorial country, getting just as bad as places like Mexico. I too have lived during a period of GOOD presidents and we did discuss our important issues and came to a Not perfect answer but ones that did not tear our country apart dividing the haves from the have nots. At one time it was a issue of color but now the true issue is: if you have money you can make a difference and if you do not, well your on your own.

Today it is easy for people to anonymously take cheap shots at the other side. You used to discuss the issues but you were face to face. Now there is no backlash for being disrespectful.Plus you have lies half truths and propaganda right at your fingertips shaping how you feel. Before you had newspapers and some television. The media was more impartial then. excellant question , I wish i could talk about it without being disrespected.

Mae, do you remember the Vietnam war? Things were similar then also. But President Johnson didn't try to take our rights away claiming they were going to make us safer. 9-11 changed a lot of things. If you questioned anything the Bush administration did, as you say, you are a godless commie who hates the troops. I think America is finally coming to their senses.

the republicans have brought our beautiful country the USA
to what is becoming a fascist state. very dangerous. bush just might be the most dangerous man in the world.
why do you think N Korea, Iran want Nuclear weapons. They are so afraid of the U.S. and its Imperialist attack on the world that they need to protect themselves. They have a human right to protect themselves. it really is a human rights violation to prevent them from doing what they need to do to survive. Deep down I am a very proud American. I love my country, but it saddens me to see what it is becoming. We can prevent them from needing nuclear weapons if the U.S. foreign policy has a lassier faire approach to the world.
