I produce dance music and im wondering what makes you like a certain track more than another one .
Eg .
Main melody / theme .
Vocals .
Drum groove .
Happy vibe etc .
Please explain in detail and give examples of tracks by popular artists and why you like that track .

Well, for me it depends how do I feel. Sometimes I just need to listen as the girl before me sad vocals and the melody so I will agrre with here about Tiesto and not just Beautiful, I love Love comes again, Traffic, wolking on Clouds...Oooo I was on Tiesto's concert and it was fenommena!!!! I'll remember that day till the end of my life because exept great music he has and great show - and that is to very immportant. And I can't forget my 2 best dj-s Mauro Picotto (just listen to Back to Cali, Komodo, Proximus Adiemus...) and Paul Van Dyk (just love it...Crash, Forbiden fruit, For an angel...!) The vocals and the main melody is immportant, but sometimes for me it's irrelavant, sometimes I'm so sad and lonelly that that kind of stuf puts me even more down so I need something happy and fast - and the one and only thing in that case is Scooter - man I love them!!! I have almoust every single cd from them and every single song from them is just happy, they are so wonderfull!!!!! HAPPY HARDCORE:)
And there are sometimes days wann you just wanna somthing so hast and acid that you have to choose something like:The horrorist-Flesh is the fever; Cosmic gate-Tommorow/Ranging/Wonderful human beeins; DJ Fuzz Buzz-Spread your wings and fly;Head protection-Narcotic dreams and many other good things hard and acid and wonderfull!!! .)
And there are many more the other things here immportant and to listen:
But most of all I thing the immportant thing to have a good song for me is to have good, bad, hard drums and groove!!! Jeah, I like it hard;)
And if you can I would recomand you to listen some of the audio record from Dj Rush, and more than all from Nives - they two know how to rock the house!!

Well for me as far as I see it there are two kinds of Dance or Trance Music,First there are the soft Angelic type much like one of my favorites ( Soul Elevator by Deep Forest) then you have Hyper fast Hard Trance Like (Blood is Pumping by VooDoo & Serano) I don't no I guest I Like this Music because I'm a Technogeek and the Music enbodys everything I believe and Love ! Some of my Personal Favorites Tracks are,( I'm in Heaven - Holly James) ( Pacific State - 808 state) (Papua New Guinea - The Future Sound Of London ) (Halcyon and on and on -Orbital) ( Take My Picture - Filter) just to Name a Few.

My favorite song/track is Beautiful by Teisto
I love vocal trance because it takes me to that special place
another place . I can't think of any other at this point in time
but I love trance cause it takes you to another place and makes you feel good . Enya for example is a great artist. So is Enigma great artist and they both take me back , especially the song return to innocence. and the song only time is my two most favorite songs

I'm not familiar with any particular artist ,but going by what I have heard It's a tribal sound that can dig into your sub-conscious mind . It's not bad music , I just can't listen to it all the time .Way too repetitive.
