what list?
Yahoo messenger, you have to ignore her. You'll find that feature on the IM box and make sure to delete her from your list.
AIM, just block her.

You can delete or block someone from sending you a message in the future, but there is no way to completely block someone from viewing your profile, unless you change your Account Settings to where only your friends can view your account.
To delete: from your home page, click on “ My Friends.” Click on the white "X" in the top right corner of the box that contains the photo of the friend you wish to delete.

If this is yahoo, you actually will have to take that friend off your list, then you can block.
