Assuming that you still want to be a couple after,
Start off with all the things you do like about him. It will make any comments after less hurtful. Then tell him as gently as possible what you don't like, and try to use suggestions instead of insults.
Examples:
If he has poor manners, say I wish you could be a little more polite.
If he pressures you to do things you don't want to (sex or other), say I wish you would listen more to what I want to do.
If he says insulting things, say I wish you could be a little more considerate about my feelings.
If he always wants to just stay in, say I wish we could go out more.
If he controls the TV or music, say I wish we could watch/listen to what I want for a change.
If he treats you different when his friends are around, say I wish you wouldn't let your friends influence you so much.
Whatever it is that bothers you, it's totally up to you whether or not to tell him. Remember though, if you don't say anything, he has no way of knowing what upsets you. He's not a mind reader, so it's up to you to tell him what makes you both happy and unhappy. Once he knows, then he might change and stop doing the things that annoy you, or at least do them less often. Communication is the key in any relationship; the more you two talk about real things, the better your relationship can be.

You can tell him how you feel, but in doing this really think about the things you are going to say. I mean, are these things that you dont like or you just dont understand, were these things there when you started this relationship or did they all of a sudden develope after you got together. Approach this particular situation carefully, because if you hurt his feelings he may try to lash out to hurt back.
