I think you start it all off with a pair of parachute pants. Then you have Adam Ant and/or Wham playing on your walkman cassette.

You want to "crimp" your hair. Hair crimping is a method of styling usually straight, long hair so that it becomes wavy, often in a sawtooth fashion. This is usually achieved by treating the hair with heat from a crimping iron or by braiding the hair then undoing the braids. Crimping peaked in populatiry during the mid 1980s.

If you can get ahold of some California Raisins and/or "Where's the Beef" T-shirts -- those would be cool to wear. Maybe you just have some t-shirts made up that say "Where's the Beef".

You'll need some 80's accesories too -- these would all work:
Atari
Cabbage Patch Kids
Care Bears
Mattel Football
Pac-Man
Pictionary
Pound Puppies
The Rubik's cube
Strawberry Shortcake
Teddy Ruxpin
Tetris
Transformers
Trivial Pursuit
Wacky Wall Walkers

You've got to have 80's music playing at this thing too so here are some real good 80's tunes to be playing in the background for "mood music"

Aerosmith's "Love in an Elevator"
Air Supply's "All Out of Love"
The B-52's' "Love Shack"
The Bears Shufflin' Crew's "Superbowl Shuffle"
The Beastie Boys' "(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party)"
Blondie
Bobby Brown
Bobby McFerrin's "Don't Worry, Be Happy"
Bruce Springsteen
Bryan Adams' "Summer of '69"
Cher's "If I Could Turn Back Time"
Corey Hart's "Sunglasses At Night"
The Cure
Cyndi Lauper
Deborah Gibson/Tiffany
Def Leppard
Depeche Mode
Dexy's Midnight Runners' "Come on Eileen"
Duran Duran
Erasure's "Chains of Love"
A Flock of Seagulls' "I Ran (So Far Away)"
George Michael
The Go-Go's
Grandmaster Flash's "The Message"
The Grateful Dead's "Touch of Grey"
Guns N' Roses
Hair metal
Hall and Oates' "Private Eyes"
Hip hop music
Huey Lewis and the News
INXS
Janet Jackson
Joan Jett's "I Love Rock 'N Roll"
Kenny Rogers
Kool & the Gang's "Celebration"
Lionel Richie's "Hello"
Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam
Michael Jackson
Madonna
Madonna's "Papa Don't Preach"
Madonna's "Like a Prayer"
Milli Vanilli
Morrissey
Mötley Crüe's "Home Sweet Home"
New Kids on the Block
Pat Benatar
Pat Benatar's "Love Is a Battlefield"
The Pretenders' "Brass in Pocket"
Prince
Queen's "Another One Bites The Dust"
REM's "It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)"
Rick Springfield
Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love"
Run-D.M.C. and Aerosmith's "Walk This Way"
Salt-n-Pepa's "Push It"
Styx's "Mr. Roboto"
The Sugarhill Gang's "Rapper's Delight"
Terence Trent D'Arby
'Til Tuesday's "Voices Carry"
Tommy Tutone's "867-5309/Jenny"
Tone Loc's "Funky Cold Medina"
U2
USA for Africa's "We Are the World"
The Vapors' "Turning Japanese"
Wham!
Whitney Houston

Hope this helps.

Sounds like alot of fun.

good luck !!!

Mall hair - oh those were the days.... *flashback*

Oh sorry - lost myself for a minute - anyway...

Natural waves or curls all over - EXCEPT for the bangs - tease your bangs to give yourself an extra 2-3 inches of height - find a leather jacket with fringe - rip some jeans in the knee area - and my favorite part...

Now listen careful - because this is important (many of us had this down to a science)...

at the base of your jeans - fold the jeans around your ankle so tight that it cuts off your circulation and make two small cuffs so that your legs look like toothpicks stuck in an olive. then make sure you either wear Loafers with no socks or canvas tennis shoes with at least 2-3 different socks layered together and pushed down.

Don't forget - in the 80's pastels were the in color the only dark color allowed was black and that was normally for the stoners.

Madonna's black lace gloves, leg warmers, pony tail on the side, and above all BIG BIG HAIR....lots of spray. You also can use bright eye shadows. Sweatshirts that are cut at the top and show off a shoulder with a tank top strap showing. Spandex pants. Acid washed jeans....They also sell old tee shirts with famed people of the 80s, everything from George Michael to Poison. But again with thw BIG BIG hair.

lol...LOL!! Ok, you must wear skin tight jeans and tight roll the bottom of each pant leg, or wear tight fitting stretch pants. Then wear a tank top, and a huge sweater with the neck cut out so it will hang off of one shoulder. Wear hightops or suede boots if you can find some. (With NO heels.) Then ratt your hair and give yourself those huge side wings and a big poof of bangs. Oh, large hoop earrings. Man, we were dorks back then. lol..
