get some windex ( the orignal blue kind ) and a old towel, spray the stain then cover it with the towel and run a hot iron over the towel, lifting to respray every once in a while.
remember you are not going to be able to save the towel so make sure it is one you don't mind throwing away

Red stains are one of the hardest stains to remove. There is nothing over the counter that the homeowner can buy . I know that Chem Dry Carpet Cleaners have a product that removes red stains. Please DO NOT try to remove it because you can lock the stain in the carpet.

Thunder Blast, spray generously on carpet let it sit for about 15 minutes and scrub out, it gets blood stains out of carpet.

Oxyclean carpet and upholstery cleaner. This stuff is great! I had it get up red koolaid (as well as a couple other colors...lol!) mustartd, nail polish. It's a definite must if you have little ones in your house! It's really easy to use and doesn't have a bad chemical smell either.

If the other two answers don't work there always a carpet knife. Circle the stain with a carpet knife and it lifts right out.

Woolite and Oxyclean - it comes premixed at the store. It works on a lot carpet problems. We use it.
