I have desktop speakers. I receive sounds from the sounds file in My Computer but when I select a reminder sound in Outlook calendar, I get no sound. I've checked everything from making sure I did not have the sound turned off, and all my volumns are unckecked. Anyone have the answer?

Did you pick a sound to play in outlook's setup? Usually you have to "browse" and then "select" a .wav file to play in these applications. That has to be done in the application itself. Check under "File", see if there is an "options" or "properties" or a "settings" to select from there.
