Neil Finn of Crowded House and Split Enz. Aside from the two overplayed radio songs (Don't Dream It' Over and Something So Strong) he's written some really fantastic "hits you right in the soul" stuff. Try the albums"Time and Tide" by Split Enz, "Recurring Dream" by crowded House and "Try Whistling This" by Neil Finn. Peter Murphy of Bauhaus has some good solo stuff too. Try the Album "Deep" and "Love Hysteria".
