I do not. I work full time at a white collar professional job, and I can't afford to go to the doctor if I get sick. I'll probably never own my own home (unless I marry very well), and I've decided I can't afford to have children for some time either (and soon I'll be a little long in the tooth to change my mind).

Winning the lottery seems to be my only track to upward mobility. Does that sound like living well?

I am in 6 years my husband's income has gone up 65%.
My taxes are down & no I do not qualify for your "so-called" rich man tax break. Most of my friends & all of my 3 children have bought homes in last 6 years - 2 out of 3 of my children make less than $75,000 (they are all under 30 yrs old). More Americans own homes than at any time in history. The American is being realized in the largest numbers. I feel safe again, 9/11 happened in 2001 less than a year after President Bush took office - that was not planned in 8 months. My son is an Officer & US Army Ranger
& he tells me we are safe - that is good enough for me.
Best economy & it shows in my 401K returns.

How does anyone know who is Republican - are you saying only Republicans work hard & are living better? Sweeping assumption there.

I live in the UK and I would say Blair and Bush are far better Leaders than Saddam, Gadafi, Castro, Pol Pot, Hitler etc etc.

We are free. Don't you get it. It sounds like you are spoiled with the luxury of growing up safe, now you think you have a right to demand more. The world owes you nothing.

I am about the same as before Bush.

Overall I think there is no change for better or worse in many areas. Both parties have their losers and the world changes more than we change ourselves.

With Out A Doubt! Tax cuts are one reason. And, we don;t have a philosophy that says "let's tax ourselves into prosperity."

Let' see: The world hates us, our allies are dismayed, we've given terrorism a cause to rally around even more, deficits are a financial iceberg that will make an economic Titanic. America is divided, not united. Yeah, things are better under Bush.
