Just call him up , if it dosent work ask his sis 2 talk 2 him
You will always feel awkward as you two once shared something special. You will need to be brave. Let his sister speak on your behalf first to say that you want to put your past of the relationship behind you and be good friends again and that you are upset that you lost your friendship. Then pluck up the courage to say to his face that you need to talk to him about putting things in the past. You were both hurt, you both learned now time to get over it. If he agrees great!!!! arrange for you his sister and another friend and a couple of his friends to go out bowling or do something for a day to help break the ice. It will be hard at first but as soon as you get talking and laughing again the barrier will be broken, start to hang out with him again (with other people with you).
If he disagrees, there's not much you can do. It's not your fault. Hes still living in the past. Move on.

hope u 2 make up
keep smiling

i think that the friendships are very important, so if your overpower the wierdness that you have when you visit his house everything should be good... but first of all try to talk about this to your ex bf and his sister.. im sure they might give you better advice than you think...
good luck
