does canada have ghettos and gangs that kill people?

Yes, Canada does have all of the above. Last year in the Toronto area, it was called The Year of the Gun because of the number of shooting fatalities, mostly gang related. And if you want to know how bad it got, one young gang member was shot dead while in the church at a funeral for another shooting victim.
Canada also works hard to ensure that our ghettos are not out-of-control. Many older ghettos are being torn down in favor of seperating those who require subsidized housing or mixing them in co-op type dwellings. This breaks down the ghetto barrier.
And take a look at the movie Bowling for Columbine, where they show you what a Canadian ghetto looks like. I think another answer has seen it cause she mentioned the no locked doors comment but seemed to be giving an American point-of-view.
Canadians are not weak. They take a stand against gang violence by trying to give these kids a better upbringing, like providing better housing. There is no glamour in gang activity. And no neighbourhood is free from break-ins, shootings, and home invasions, even ours. But at least we help curb the problem instead of forgetting about our troubled youth.

I live in canada n we have a ton of ghettos in every city for example jane and finch, regent park, jamesville, oriole Crescent, Bartonville, some parts of calgary and Winnipeg, eastern downtown Vancouver is the worst of all and many more. Pretty much all of hamilton is rundown and low income and as far as gangs we have quite a bit in every city and we have a ton of unreported crimes/murders that no one pays attention to and Canadians smuggle a ton of weapons and drugs to American cities like Chicago, New York, New Jersey and many more so for the Americans that talk **** but don't kno anything just shut ur mouth

WELL, I TYPED THIS QUESTION IN AFTER LEAVING MISSISSAUGA 4 YEARS AGO TO MOVE TO MICHIGAN. BUT THE ANSWERS I READ HERE SOUND LIKE 5 YEAR OLD NINCOMPOOPS SO I GUESS I WILL GO BACK TO VISIT TO FIND OUT. I DO NOT RECALL ANYTHING LIKE WHAT I ENCOUNTER HERE WHEN I LIVED THERE. I CANT MOVE BACK BECAUSE I MARRIED HERE AND HAVE A WONDERFUL WIFE AND A BEAUTIFUL 3 ACRE HOME. BUT I HATE STEPPING OFF THAT PROPERTY WITH WHAT I ENCOUNTER WHEN I DO. AND THAT IS A HELL OF A WAY TO EXIST IN A COUNTRY THAT IS GETTING SO BAD. CAUGHT BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE.

haha... nicely ya gang bang isn't what u meant via this question.. yet there are gangs over ther.. I certainly have considered them as i curretnly stay in canada.. i became in hamilton final 365 days and there are gangs everywhere u flow downtown and as quickly as I went to toronto... there have been much extra gangs... gangs are contemporary anyplace you're in this international...

No they have very little crime. Even across from Lake Michigan from Detroit is safe. Which is easily accesable from the U.S. It's amazingly safe. Most people never lock their doors.

yes of course we are crazy over here....we have mobs and what not...you cant even look at someone without getting shot....were crazier then the us...so if you think your in a bad part of town GET OUT fast...........
