Typically occurs around 14th day of your cycle if your cycle is every 28 days. First day of your cycle is the day after last day of your period. After ovulation typically, ovum can stay in the uterus and conception could occur for up to 3 days after ovulation. Sperm can also stay in the uterus for up to 36 hours.
You can also determine the days of ovulation by looking at your vaginal mucus. If there is a lot of vaginal mucus, you will be ovulating pretty soon
Hope this helps

Half way through the menstrual cycle, which is typically 28 days, but can vary. If, for example, you had a cycle of 30 days, then ovulation would be 15 days after your last period rather than the standard 14.

Best way to check this, other than those expensive ovulation kits, is by taking your core body temperature. Every morning before you get up take your temperature and take a note of it. Your temperature rises when you ovulate and then you will be able to find out exactly when you ovulate according to your cycle.

Typically about 14 days *before* the onset of menstruation. If you have a 28 day cycle this means it will also be 14 days *after* the onset of the last period, but if your cycle is longer or shorter this won't be the case.
