A DJ CD Deck ir more commonly known as a pitch control CD player. They come in two types: top loaders, where the CD is inserted on top or front loaders where the CD is fed into a slot or a CD tray. These CD players also have pitch sliders and/ or jog wheels which allows the DJ to change the pitch or speed of the record by sliding it up or down (minus or plus) to increase or decrease the speed of the track enabling you to match tempos of two records.
Brands to look out for are Pioneer, Denon, Stanton, Numark. There are a few other makes out there that I can't remember.

A dj cd deck is the where the cd's are placed for the dj to mix. It's similiar to the record players that dj's use when they use albums instead of cd's. The cd deck is just a smaller version of that. Another word for it would be "turn-table".

a cd deck is set up just like a turntable for vinyl. instead of a needle, there is a laser underneath the cd that reads it. when you scratch, the laser cuts back and forth just like a needle would. they are very handy for using a wide variety of music, because you can get a lot more sounds on cd than on vinyl. If you are starting out trying to become a dj, start with vinyl, it's the best way to learn, and it's classic!
