Because you live in it.
Your life isn't a home and garden show, it shouldn't look like one.
If you are asking for tips on how to keep your things under some sort of managed chaos, try placing baskets around in the corners of some of the rooms, where you can toss items into for putting away later. Try placing a large bowl here or there on a countertop or bedroom dresser, for the same reason.
Catchalls like baskets and bowls are great for keeping the clutter down between real housecleaning.
Just make your house work for you.

By the jetson's robot LOL! honey keeping it clean is impossible. but here's something you might think about. Straighten up the house before you go to bed at night...that way when you wake up in the morning you won't be overwelmed with a messy house.
