Do you know that insects already practice agriculture, growing their own food and medicine, and form formidable invasive armies that stretch for miles underground?

Personally I think that after humans there will be no earth. We are already destroying are planet with pollutants and radiation from nuclear bomb test and things like that. I think that nuclear war or global warming will eventially either wipe out the earth, or turn it into a carbon dioxide laden wasteland like the planet Venus.

Replace humans and take over? What makes you think that they would have to replace the humans to take over?

By pretty much any measure - number of species, number of individuals, importance to ecosystems, overall biomass, diversity of ecological niches, etc., etc. the insects are already the dominant organisms on the planet.

They live pretty much everywhere, and even our own agricultural efforts are highly dependent on insects for their success (or failure in the case of 'pest' species).

As for intelligence, as you already mentioned there are already insects that have agriculture, tool use, they modify their environments, build structures to house themselves, have elaborate mechanisms to maintain environment in those structures, wage war, take slaves, and have class systems. Why would they need to develop intelligence as we recognize it? All that would bring would be religion and the insect version of Paris Hilton. They don't need those to rule the world, they already do.

And I, for one, welcome our new insect overlords.

>If more advantageous-terrestials visit us, do you imagine they could imagine a lot less of human race because of our religions? definite. >Do you imagine religions make the human race seem undesirable? definite. >If better smart lifeforms visit us to guage humanity's progression and status, might want to they flow "those primitives are nevertheless in the religions degree, they could be able to't connect the Coalition of smart Races, area shuttle or no area shuttle"? probable, yet I doubt it. different civilizations might want to be extra likely to the contact us besides and verify out to cajole us to end our non secular delusions, particularly than leaving us to reason extra damage and suffering to persons.

actually thats just what the squirrels want you to think... but really its them who are trying to take over the world... ya see squirrels look all cute and cuddly but have you ever trying to take an acorn away from one??? they get reallllly defensive! and do you know why they get reallllly defensive? wellllllll there is a transmitter in the acorns... and not all acorns either... just the "chosen" ones... thats why they hold them so close to there mouth... and when you see them picking up acorns... talking to it for a minute... and putting it back down... it means that it wasnt an acorn with a transmitter... maybe they arent as smart as they think they are... muaha ha

Yes , but that is driven by instinct. Throw them a logistic problem and they cannot quantify the feasibilities and risks.

And , whatever they do is not insured ,, means they get it once wrong ,, it cuts deeper into their inventory.
