LMFAO!!! Only if you could figure out how to put the Uni-body on a Corvette chassis, I don't think you can fit the engine in the front and change out the transaxle to a rear end drive train. A 914 is just a Porsche body with a (Volkswagon) mid engine transaxle system.

I have a 89 S-10 that I'm doing a 350 v8 swap on. You can put any small block in a Blazer not sure about a big block

OK, it,s a little usless to put a V8 in a porsche 914, cause it will become a lot heavier, and unpractical, it's a lot better to find a 6cyl, porsche engine, and convert it into a 914/6

Just to let you know - it has been done to a 911!

At Roebling Road Raceway when the Porsche clubs are there for their Driver Eds - a little speed yellow 911 shows up. It has a Chevy V-8 engine in it - and it is hilarous... sounds soooo unlike a Porsche.

Oh, and we always remind the guy - he cannot do a PCA Club race in that thing...

Meanwhile - talk to your mechanic about brain chips... and forget historic racing if you put one in on the 914.

I've seen it done, and the result was seriously fast for less than what it would take to get a good Porsche flat six. The Renegade Hybrids kit is your best bet for an easy swap. If you are feeling more adventurous, you could get a Kennedy Engineered Products adapter to attach the engine to the transaxle and fabricate the rest yourself.

Probably can be done. Decades ago I read that someone put a V8 into VW bug Of course that eliminated the rear seats where the engine protruded into.

A flat six from 2.0L to 3.0L would be a better bet.

Porsche's at high revs sing...American V8's at high revs are stressing out and making awful noises

You can convert any of them, but it's like putting make up on a fat chick, "Just a waste of make up".
