It's a tossup, but I'd go with Gore. He's healthy and starting for the 49ers, and should play the entire game. Henry had a good game (finally) last week, but he's nursing a sore ankle and has been limited in practice this week.

Edit: And, of course, Henry runs for 178 yards and a touchdown while Gore doesn't do much of anything. It figures. :)

Gore is turning in to a true number 1 back. He might not get the goal line carries but at least he's a threat to score from anywhere on the field. Travis Henry will never be more than a mediocre number 2 back and usually isn't worth starting unless you really are out of options. The Chargers defense is tough but not tough enough to get you to start Henry.

It depends on the yardage in your league, frank gore will get touches early but SF will fall behind early and be passing a lot to try and get back into the game, i do see Gore getting a goal line TD but not a lot of yards, as for Travis Henry i would look at him gainin about 30 more yards then Gore and i see him getting a TD much more likely, but you must watch that Vince Young doesn't take any of those TD's as i'm sure they'll have incorporated designed runs just for Young, but i'd go with T. Henry if i was you, more yards and a better chance of seeing the endzone as they will make it to the redzone more the SF will

Gore is leagues above Travis Henry. I would make the blanket statment that I would always start Gore over Henry, regardless of who they were playing, provided Gore is healthy.

Henry plays on one of the 4 worst offensive teams in the NFL who have been shuffling Rbs all year. He's the sexy start right now, but he might look like dirt 2 quarters in, and Fischer has shown that he is not afraid to swap whoever whenever.

Gore on the other hand is the feature back on an up and coming Offense. Yes, their defense is horrific, but the offense is really gelling this year, and Gore is the biggest part of it. When you get that many touches and opportunities to score, it's hard to put him on the bench, even against a top 3 defense.

I would go with Travis Henry because the Charges D is much tougher against the run than the Redskins D.

Travis Henry..... although Gore has more yardage for 2006, Washington will allow Henry to pickup major yardage. Good Luck

I desire I had your subject. it is a no-brainer. rather, I somewhat ought to come back to a decision on between LaMont Jordan, Selvin youthful and Echemandu of Houston for my 2d RB. Travis Henry might want to get very nearly each and every of the incorporates adversarial to Detroit. LaMont looks to achieve fewer yards each and every week and the Raiders are brazenly affirming that the faster Fargas will be "extra in touch". for sure, McCown is starting off for Oakland, which may help the operating recreation compared to the motionless Culpepper. All-in-all, i does no longer imagine two times if I had Henry - initiate him.

Gore is like 80% of San Fran's offense, he touches the bal more then Smith, not really but that sounds good! Henry will be against Washington who is very good against the run!

Let's see . . . a good RB on a sorry team against a great run D -vs- an average RB on a pathetic team against a great run D

Good / sorry beats out Average / pathetic every time . . .

Start Frank Gore!

neither... only reason travis henry had a good game was because the colts are the worst run defense in football... doesnt mean hes good... theres a reason they call him "washed up"
